Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marzanna Ksiazek | Surface Engineering | Research Excellence Award

A materials scientist at the Faculty of Non-Ferrous Metals, AGH University of Cracow, Poland, with professional experience since 2016 and leadership of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Non-Ferrous Metals. Research activities focus on surface engineering and advanced joining technologies, including thermal spray coatings, thermal spraying technologies, metal–ceramic joints, liquid-phase bonding, adhesion and interface phenomena, and composite coatings. The scientific output includes 37 articles in international journals with 349 citations and an H-index of 10. Research contributions address liquid-phase metal–ceramic bonding and the microstructure and adhesion of thermally sprayed ceramic coatings on aluminum and cast iron alloys. Recognition includes the 3rd-degree Rector’s Award.
