Prof. Dr. Tatjana Volkov-Husović is a full professor at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, known for her contributions to materials science, particularly refractory materials, their synthesis, characterization, and thermal stability. She earned her BSc in Metallurgical Engineering, completed a master’s thesis on the thermostability of anisotropic refractory materials, and obtained a PhD focused on correlations between fracture resistance parameters and critical temperature differences in refractory thermal stability. Since joining the University of Belgrade’s Department of Metallurgical Engineering, she has advanced through all academic ranks and taught across all study levels, developing multiple courses and supervising extensive research, including six PhD dissertations. Her scientific portfolio includes  patent, supported by 1426 citations and an h-index of 22 then document is 123. She founded the Laboratory for Visual Information Quantification, participated in national accreditation processes, and actively contributed to scientific committees, international collaborations, and research project evaluations, including European Commission FP6 reviews. As a project manager and contributor to numerous national and international projects, her work has been recognized through awards for advancing metallurgical science and supporting cultural heritage conservation, underscoring her sustained impact on engineering and materials research.

Anatoly Vsevolodovich Protasov is a renowned specialist in metallurgical engineering and mechanical design. He holds qualifications in metalworking and mechanical equipment of metallurgical plants and has developed a long and impactful career at the All-Russian Scientific and Project Designing Institute of Metallurgical Machine-Building (VNIIMETMASH). Over several decades, he has advanced through technical and leadership roles, directing complex projects related to steelmaking equipment and plant modernization. His work has significantly contributed to the design and implementation of steel converters, movable mixers, and secondary steelmaking aggregates installed at major metallurgical enterprises. His research interests include innovations in secondary steelmaking, vacuum degassing, DC arc metal treatment, and the development of mini-mill technologies for long-rolled steel production. He has authored more than 24 scientific and technical publications, including patented inventions, monographs, and textbooks, which have collectively received 17 citations and an h-index of 2. Recognized for his major contributions to metallurgical machine-building, he has received national awards and professional honors. His continuing efforts in research, engineering leadership, and technology development have strengthened the advancement of modern metallurgical equipment and processes.
