Prof. Zongchao Zhang is a National Distinguished Professional and Professor at Changzhou University and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut and has built an internationally recognized career across academia, national laboratories, and industry. His professional experience includes senior research and leadership roles at Northwestern University’s Catalysis Center, Johnson Matthey, Akzo Nobel, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and KiOR Inc. His research focuses on industrial catalysis, Materials Characterization and biomass conversion, contributing to the development of sustainable chemical processes and advanced catalytic technologies for energy and environmental applications.
