Prof. Mehran Zeynalian | Steel | Best Researcher Award

The university of Isfahan | Iran

Dr. Mehran Zeynalian is a full Professor of Civil Engineering with a research focus on the seismic performance of cold-formed steel (CFS) structures, risk analysis, and construction project management. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering with specialization in seismic performance assessment and risk modelling of CFS systems, as well as MSc and BE degrees in Civil Engineering. He has published over 51 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conferences, accumulating more than 1003 citations and an h-index of  18. His research interests include experimental and numerical studies on cold-formed steel shear walls, trusses, and connectors, analytical hysteresis modelling, reliability-based infrastructure management, and the application of artificial intelligence to predict structural behaviour. He has extensive experience teaching and supervising courses in structural analysis, construction management, and steel structures. His academic excellence has been acknowledged through multiple awards and research grants for outstanding scholarly contributions and innovative research. Combining analytical, experimental, and computational approaches, his work advances the understanding of seismic and structural performance, contributing to safer, more efficient, and sustainable steel and composite structural systems.
